Samsung is gearing up to launch the next generation of Galaxy S series smartphones early next year. A series of leaks have already shed light on the features of the flagship smartphones ahead of the rumoured launch on January 17. Most recently, renders of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra have leaked online along with their full specifications. Both Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra are said to run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with 12GB of RAM. The Galaxy S24, in contrast, is tipped to be powered by an Exynos 2400 chipset. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to have a Titanium frame while the vanilla and Plus models could have an aluminium armour frame.

Windows Report has leaked alleged renders and full specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in a new report. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is seen with a flat back panel and a flat display with integrated S Pen. It appears to have a quad camera setup on the rear with all four cameras housed inside separate rings. The Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ are shown with triple rear cameras. The images indicate a similar design language to that of the Galaxy S23 series.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra will be reportedly available in titanium black, titanium gray, titanium violet, and titanium yellow colour options, whereas the colour versions of Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ could be called onyx black, marble grey, cobalt violet, and amber yellow.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra could be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for super fast charging 2.0 and fast wireless charging 2.0. It is also said to come with Wireless PowerShare for charging other devices that have wireless charging support. The handset could offer Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 7, and Ultra Wide Band connectivity.

The regular model is expected to run on an Exynos 2400 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM, while the Galaxy S24+ could pack a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC alongside 12GB of RAM. The regular model is said to debut in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options, while the Plus model could be offered in 256GB and 512GB storage storage variants.

Tesla Cybertruck With Higher Price Tag, Lower Driving Range Arrives Two Years Behind Schedule

Tesla's pricier-than-expected Cybertruck pickup, which offers driving ranges that fell well short of what CEO Elon Musk had promised, has deeply disappointed some but fascinated others with its futuristic, SUV-like feel.

The Cybertruck, two years behind schedule, enters a hot pickup truck market to compete with the likes of Ford's F150 Lightning, Rivian Automotive's R1T and General Motors' Hummer EV.

Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, who was among the first dozen customers to pick up the vehicle on Thursday, said the Cybertruck drives and feels like Tesla's Model X sport utility vehicle.

"Initial feeling about this vehicle - smooth, drives a lot like my Model X. It is big but not unwieldy," Ohanian said as he live-streamed his first drive of the Cybertruck on social media platform X. He said he'd be the "coolest dad" picking up his kid at school.

Starting at $60,990 (roughly Rs. 51 lakh), the Cybertruck is over 50 percent more expensive than what CEO Elon Musk had touted in 2019. That may narrow the appeal of the vehicle. Tesla's stock is down over 2 percent since before the launch.

Among those disappointed is Texas-based financial services executive Christian Cook, who had booked a Cybertruck in 2019 after Musk promised a cheaper pickup that travels farther on a single charge.

"The truck pricing and range is a huge let down," Cook, who drives a Model 3 and told Reuters he had made certain financial decisions based on his plans to buy a Cybertruck. "My respect for Musk has taken a huge hit. My loyalty to Tesla has taken a huge hit."

CFRA analyst Garrett Nelson said the steep price tag will lead to customers cancelling reservations and expects Tesla to adjust the pricing based on demand going ahead.

The Cybertruck, made of shiny, bullet-proof stainless steel and inspired from a car-turned-submarine from a James Bond movie, is likely to uplift Tesla's brand that has been dented from steep price cuts to boost demand, according to analysts and branding experts.

"The Cybertruck gets a lot of attention. It brings Tesla back top of mind," said Spencer Imel, a partner at consumer insights firm Langston.

"But we don't see it helping Tesla gain ground in terms of becoming a mass market brand and competing with brands like Ford that are serving the everyday car buyer," he said.

Indeed, the electric pickup's price and longer wait time for significant financial payoff left analysts concerned.

Musk's personal ability to build the Tesla brand has also been questioned this week after a live interview in which he cursed out advertisers who left his X social media platform, formerly known as Twitter, over antisemitic material.

That was creating nervousness among investors and some consumers and could be drag on Tesla's appeal, said Allen Adamson, co-founder of brand and marketing consultancy Metaforce.

"Many of Tesla's early adopters who bought into the dream of a sustainable future are being kind of rudely woken up," by some of the "strange things" he has done, turning him from a "rebel" into a "misguided person" for some people, said JP Kuehlwein, an adjunct professor of marketing at Columbia University Business School.

Cybertruck will not do much for Tesla's financials next year, analysts said. Bernstein forecast 250 deliveries this year and 75,000 for next year, saying both "may be ambitious".

Musk has said Tesla was likely to reach a production rate of roughly 250,000 Cybertrucks a year in 2025.

The company has repeatedly warned that it would face significant challenges in ramping the product and becoming free cash flow positive - likely not until mid-2025 - which could negatively impact profitability.

A brand refresh will be critical for Tesla, especially at a time when the company is battling softening electric-vehicle demand as well as rising competition.

"Tesla has a product problem - i.e., an older line-up that does not address enough of the market, and has no new mass market offerings until likely late 2025," Bernstein analysts added.

GTA 6 Trailer Coming This Tuesday, Rockstar Games Confirms

Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer release date is finally upon us, as confirmed by Rockstar Games via a tweet. The first footage from the highly-anticipated crime odyssey sequel will be out on Tuesday, December 5, at 7:30pm IST in India/ 9am ET in the US, with the publisher only posting an image of a sunset and palm tree silhouettes — confirming previous claims that it's set in a fictionalised version of Miami, which franchise veterans might recognise as a return to Vice City. With that, it is clear that Geoff Keighley won't be presenting the trailer at The Game Awards 2023, though a teaser or some screenshot drops are always possible.

Not much was known about GTA 6 since a massive data leak from mid-2022, which revealed in-development gameplay of our lead crime couple — allegedly Jason and Lucia — robbing a diner in broad daylight. Yep, this would mark the first female protagonist in the franchise's controversial history, which has, for the most part, portrayed women as sex objects or nagging moms/wives. It is also worth mentioning that Rockstar hasn't revealed an official title for the game yet, merely referring to it as the ‘next Grand Theft Auto,' so it could very well be a spin-off with some outlandish subtitle. The sequel has been a long time coming, with a May earnings call at Rockstar parent Take-Two Interactive hinting that the GTA 6 launch window could be set for the fiscal year 2025 (opens in April 2024 in Rockstar's case).

Earlier this month, the studio also scrapped the ‘Social Club' branding from the website, referring to its online multiplayer service as ‘Rockstar Games platform,' in addition to getting rid of the yellow block in its logo — hinting at some big changes to usher in the new era. At the time of writing, the studio has deleted all previous posts from its Instagram account, maintaining only the aforementioned trailer release date banner. As anticipation for GTA 6 grew, GTA Online served as the decade-long cash cow for Rockstar, delivering near-endless multiplayer content that easily rivalled the average AAA live service game. For now, it's unclear whether the existing Social Club members will simply be updated to cater to the new entry or if players will be forced to migrate their data to a new account.

As of October, the 2013-released Grand Theft Auto V has sold 190 million copies worldwide, with minor graphical and performance upgrades to adjust to two whole console generations. Just yesterday, Rockstar confirmed that its remastered Grand Theft Auto trilogy will be available to play on Netflix from December 14 onwards — accessible to subscribers of all tiers and playable exclusively on Android, iOS, and the Netflix phone app.

Grand Theft Auto 6 will probably release on the current-gen PS5 and Xbox Series S/X first, before heading to PC — as seen with previous Rockstar entries.
